Anyone know of a local place to get a thin sheet of teak? I need a 9" x 13" piece to use as the mount panel for my new stereo set-up.

Thanks,

Macbeath would have it and they are local but you will have to buy a sheet.

Woodcraft would have smaller pieces but it would be mail order.

Hardwoods Unlimited on Mounment in Concord might have it.
I might have a piece that size in the garage, I will look for you tomorrow.

Try Rockler Woodworking in Pleasant Hill or the Woodcraft store in Dublin. They both carry Teak boards as well as veneer.

Thanks for the info, guys; I'll check them out. And thanks for checking your stuff, DD.

Last time I called, a few months ago, Hardwoods Unlimited didn't have it and they referred me to MacBeath. MB had quite a selection, but teak isn't cheap.

Brian, I looked in the garage and I didn't have a 9x13 piece of teak pannel. I had a dusty piece of Cocobolo that was 1/8 thick 8 wide 48 long I thought might be teak until blew the dust off; had a nice piece of padduck the same size too both were beautiful, I love hardwoods. I hope you had good luck at MacBeath's. DD

DD, Thanks for checking the garage. The veneer & some trim from MacBeath's is going to work well (& reasonably priced, too).

Thanks everyone for the ideas of where to look.
