This is for someone I met and told them I'd ask the group. He has a 44', 44,000# sailboat with a 7' draft and is looking for a place in MD to put it on the hard for the winter. Price is the main factor. I'm not familier with the western shore and only slightly informed with the Upper Chesapeake bay. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!!!
Chris

Herrington Harbour North in Deale MD.,Western Shore, has a 70 ton lift and yard space. They haul and store hundreds of boats during the off season. The size and draft should not be an issue.
Price??? We keep our boat in the water all year, so I don't know about pricing.

The cheapest place that I know of is Casa Rio Marina at Mayo. They even have electric hook up at some of the land storage locations and encourage owner work on their boats.
Here is the address and phone numbers:
4079 Cadle Creek Rd
Edgewater, MD 21037
(410) 798-4731
(301) 261-7111

If they would rather be on Eastern sh. I would suggest Campbells' in Oxford. 3 different marinas, and they haul some big sailboats. I've heard their prices are good, and they seem to good folks. Western I'd be a 2nd vote for HH north. I was pulled there for our bow thruster install, and they did a good job, with lift and block, and power is available at most spots.
