Got to the boat today and began winterizing the fresh water plumbing system, the live well, raw water washdown and the a/c system.

After draining out the fresh water from the tank, I added a few gallons of pink to run through the system. Also made winterizing the toilet much easier.

I then shutdown the the fresh water pump and then hooked my new compressor (Husky 1.5hp 6gal 135psi $90 at HD) to the fresh water intake. I was able to close off the freshwater pump from the main line. I opened all the faucets and blew all the lines out.

This is when I realized that this job really requires 2 people. There was no way for me to see when the water was finally out of the lines. An extra set of eyes would have been helpful.

Same story when I blew out the livewell and the raw water washdown lines. I blew the lines out and am pretty sure most if not all the water is out of the lines. But it would have been helpful to have another set of eyes here.

Same thing with the a/c lines - it would have been helpful to have someone outside the boat to tell me when all the water was out. I did figure out that the a/c strainer has a plastic drain screw on the bottom. Problem was I over-tightened it when reassembling it and broke off the top of the screw.

Will definitely have someone else with me when I do the generator and engines....
