My 8.1s Horizon Merc sporadically slips to limp home mode. Any one having similar issues? Trying to correct.

Yes there are some beeps. The boats in storage presently. It will be back in the water in three weeks. Then the hunt begins for faulty issues. I’m new to this. As such I’m learning my way around the engine and standing items to identify ie faulty circuitry.

Can you get hold of a rinda scan tool? Not sure how else you would be able to determine why the engines are dropping to safe mode. There used to be some shops in my area that rented them.

Good find, Get! That's the one I was remembering. Either something bad is happening and "limp home mode" keeps you from making things worse, or their something faulty happening with the sensor to make it think it needs to limp home. Good advice on wiring, always.8.1 Merc Momentary dies*Fixed*
