This unit is ancient. I want to replace it with a flat panel unit with DVD capability, but I can't find any way to get the VCR unit out. Any tips?

Pix? If it is like my 330, it bolts in from the bottom.

alot of searay electronics were installed in cabinets and cavities with extra wide strips of velcro. try sliding a putty knife or hacksaw blade under unit and listen for velcro peeling noise. if it is velcro u might have to slide and lift to work it loose.

Remove the drawer below the TV, there should be bolts holding the TV in place.

Yes........look ( from the under side ) for screws into the plywood under the TV.

If your unit is like mine on my 320, it pulls out on tracks and swivels. You should be able to unscrew from the bottom and the plug receptacle should be in the back of the enclosure.

Now for the good part and I am planning to do this. Since your flat screen will be smaller in the back, you can get innovative and build something that will have additional storage in the back of where you TV was. You should gain about 14” of storage.

Thanks everyone. On the 02, unfortunately the unit doesn't slide out like later models. It just sits in there. I'll look through the cabinet under the TV to see what's there.
