I bought this boat about 4.5 month ago and I rented a slip at my local dock and drive it every weekend, I pulled it out to clean it and found hull blisters on the rear pass side.. do I need to be worried, it only stayed in fresh water for about 2 months before I noticed it..

Yes you need to be worried. Take some photos and get in contact with your Regal dealer. They should look at it and get Regal involved. My 03 2250 got bad blisters and I had to have it barrier coated and then painted. I also keep my boat about 6 months a year docked in freshwater.

Bad news: It needs to be corrected, but not necessarily before the end of the season. Good news: Regal warrants your hull. Contact a Regal dealer immediately to get the "ball rolling".

I went to Regals web site and posted an email to the service department. I'll post what they say when they email me back.. thanks for the help..

Jody didn't say if he bought the boat new from a dealer. It's a 2005 and he bought it in 2007. Does Regal allow the transfer of warranty?

Yes they do but you have to pay a small transfer fee IIRC.

yes, I transfered the warranty plus the extended one aswell, it was $350. My boat is under warranty untill 7/7/2011

Regal emailed me back and ask for some pictures of the blistered area. Im going to clean the area and take some picture and send them on monday..

ok, got a reply and they said any regal boat that has been in the water for 60 day should be painted on the bottom for protection, they went on to say mine didn't look like it was, so the warranty may not cover it . they told me to take it to the dealer so they could look at it closer and make a final judgement.. the blisters are only on one side of my boat, not all over.. won't coating the bottom of my boat make it look like crap?? I have seen bigger boat painted but never a 18' boat?? Man, it's going to look like dog crap painted!!!! All my friends have boats and they don't have any problems with theres. I pull mine out every couple of weeks to clean the bottom and out drive so It won't get bad.. Have I bought the wrong brand of boat, It's sounding like Regal isn't going to stand behind there hull!!

From what I read here, and see in my local area, Regal has a good reputation and a large number of satisfied owners, many of whom are repeat buyers. Don't panic yet.

IMO bottom paint offers no protection against blistering only marine growth. Someone is confused

I was under the impression that bottom paint protected from blisters, and anti-fouling from marine growth. Good chance I'm wrong though, as I trailer mine.
As I've read here in the past, most people are very satisfied with Regal's customer service.
You say your boat was in the water for about 2 months before you found the blister?
59 days could be considered about 2 months, and yet wouldn't void their bottom paint rule.
