Does anyone know where to get an accurate schedule?

I can't tell if this link is current as it does not identify a year....for all i know it could be last year!

Some of those lower key displays are fantastic. We went to one off Astoria Park last year that was great and we were one of only 3 boats in the water. The crowd on land was HUGE.

Boating on the Hudson usually has an issue with all the fireworks listed.

Heard Kingston isn't doing fireworks this year, due to the economy (they had to cut back on police OT and the town won't allow other security teams). Wonder if other towns are doing the same?

Hmmmmm.....

"Boatered Events"

Time to fill that section in Butch!

Hold that thought gang, there was a radio news flash indicating a law firm came up with the cash. The fireworks are scheduled for 7/5 which is change you can believe in. They will not be held the weekend prior to the 4th but the Sunday after the 4th.

So grab your reservations, I know there's room for one more boat up here this year. Can't talk to 2010, but this year at least.

Nice to see someone stepping up to keep the tradition going Dan.

I did find this part of the article, well, disturbing!

“In spite of what some people think, not all lawyers are bad,” said Reynolds, D-Ward 7.

Stupid question time...how far up river is Kingston? I'm a Queens kid...what the hell do i know!

North of Newburgh. Got a confirmation that indeed Kingston is indeed doing fireworks, but it's on July 5 versus the standard "one week earlier". No jazz festival, which may be why the cost is now less...

Being from Woodside Queens, I'd say you will be a few miles short if you follow my lead since I just made it :D
I used to get haircuts just off Main Street and went to the Flushing Y to learn how to swim.

John if I could afford it I'd do it except for the notion that Sotille is in office still.

The Flushing Y is still there......very different population out that way though. All of Queens actually.

Yes indeed. Totally different from the early 60's. The density has grown substabtially as well.
