I have a 2005 2665 and for the last couple months I have noticed water at the base of the step up for the V birth/dining table. I am asuming that the fresh water tank maybe leaking. I can recall others having the same problem on the Regal forum. I cannot find an acces panel to confirm the location of the water leak. Any one else have this problem or know a solution?

I had the same problem with my 2005 2665.
It was wet in front of the fridge.

My water was comming from the strainer drain in the well going down to the salon.

The nut was loose. I had to remove it and caulk it and put it back together. You can check it through the front cabinet at the back of the back birth.

Also under the port V birth cushon there is an inspection hole where the strainer for the fresh water is located.

After that no more wet carpet.

I also have an issue with water in the cabin on my 2008 2665. The first time we used the shower, there was so much water in the cabin, if you stood in outside of the head the water was over the top of your foot. We had to get a wet vac to suck up the water. The dealer is caulking everything in sight, in hopes he finds the problem. I also have a major leak in the cabin door. After hosing out the cockpit there was a lot of water in the cabin. I guess buying a new boat does not ensure there will be no problems.

Thanks for the replies. I am new to boating and I don't know the location of the strainer drain in the well. I asume the salon is where the table and seats are in the cabin. I haven't used the shower in the head yet so that isn't an issue. The water looks to be coming up from the carpet so there are know leaks from above.

Check737, could you be more specific about the strainer you had a problem with? I've experienced the same issue with wet carpet in front of the frig but haven't tracked down the source. The wet carpet happened only once -- the first and only time I hooked up to shore water. After a couple hours hooked to the shore hose, the carpet was absolutely drenched in front of the frig and there was an inch or two of water underneath the floor all around the shower sump pump.

The carpet dried quickly, and since then there hasn't been a recurrence. The water near the sump pump keeps coming back, unfortunately. I bought a wet vac to suck it up, and last time out I sucked up almost three gallons.

I'm not sure from your description which strainer you had a problem with.

Ok
Just a bit of history.

My winshield was leaking when it rained and water ran down inside the boat beside the windshield and into the well at the entrance to the salon.
Normally this would drain overboard but the floor drain had not been tightened so some of the water was leaking into the boat and running behind the galley and causing the carpet to be wet.
This nut can be found through the forward cabinet door at the back of the back bunk.(where the AC is installed if you have it)

Your problem sounds like a leak in the water line.I believe this passes behind the galley and is accessable by removing the fridge.( an easy job.)

I forgot to tell you to check the two compartments in the floor under the back bunk cushon.

If you had a leak water may still be caught up in there.

The only time they drain is when the bow is up when comming on plane.

Scott I had water in the same area as you do in the sump area. Traced it to a Defective a/c sea cock. Hard to find leak because it was leaking under the body of sea cock. Put a mirror under the body and found the leak. It was leaking 1 drop every 30 seconds to a minute but in 2 to 4 weeks there would be a couple of gallons.

My dealer is sending someone out tomorrow to find and hopefully fix my leak. They claim that they had 3 2665's with the same leak and they know where it is. So I asked them if they knew where the leak was why they didn't repair it before I took delivery. I got the deer in the headlights response. Hopefully whoever they send out knows what he is doing.

I also had the same problem. I pulled the fridge out and found some of the water line connections were loose. It was leaking at the cold and hot connections. Good luck. Jazzy

Pulled the fridge on the weekend and found water under the fridge. Had to wiggle the pipes to find the exact location of the leak. I found the hot water line was leaking so just had to tighten the connection problem solved. thanks alot. Does any one know how to gain access to the fresh water tank?
