Not that I'm a huge baseball fan, although I make much of my summer income working Mets games for SNY. But it is an indication that boating season is getting closer. The days are getting longer and the wait is getting shorter. Pretty soon will come the sound of shrink wrap hitting the ground and that makes me happy. It won't be long now ffolks.

I think it may be. Whoever it is he certainly doesn't look happy. That prop is wrapped pretty good. Oh well these things happen. How have you been? I'm doing well. My leg is all healed and good to go. Jen is expecting with twin boys due late May early June. I got a new boat in October. A 1984 36' Chris Craft Commander. Probably won't get to use it too much this summer with 3 kids in diapers.

Hope the Sea-Tow guy has maintained his Tow Boat US contract.... [:-smirk]
Unfortunately for us Sea Tow captains Radiowaves, if we get stuck it's generally up to us to get us unstuck. That usually calls for some creative seamanship or a trip in the drink. Fear not though, if that fails we all carry our Sea Tow cards and as you know service is free for members. The only cost is taking a good ribbing from the captain who bails you out.

Congratulations on the twin boys and the new boat!!! Wow, three kids in diapers...the next three years will be tough.
At least you'll have the a boat big enough for you with accommodations to escape to every now and then!
That photo is of Captain Drew. I've only heard stories of these type of things happening to him but he would never admit to it. Unfortunately for him he was towing a photographer and we now have proof!
In all fairness, I've fouled my prop twice in the towline over the years. Once in a 50 knot gale trying to help a sailboat in that little cove next to Democrat point. The other time was when I tried to unground a 25' searay near blue Point in 25 knots of wind. The commen factors here were boats aground + high wind + little room to maneuver = trouble!
RadioWaves, Seatow GSB does have a Towboat US card just in case (I can say that it has never been used). Although sometimes the owners butt heads over petty things, If one of us or one of them are in trouble, we'll help each other out or at least offer assistance.
