If you do not have anything running on 240 volts, then there is no need to be concerned if the legs are in phase or out of phase. The only time phase is important is if you are trying to create 240v from two 120v outlets.
True Dave, I converted my two 50/125 inlets to a 50/125/240 and my power tower outlet for convenience.
As I have no 240 in the boat I made my own splitter for travelling to other marinas and have no phase
concerns at all.
The other person that converted the power tower outlet has a 46 Searay and all his air conditioners are 240 volt
He needed the splitter and had one stolen at our docks so that prompted him to eliminate the need for the Smart Y
while at his home slip and only use it when travelling.
