95 290 no ac no genni trailer

iam looking at a 94 290 no ac or genni
but in great condition on trailer
has single 454
is that a good combo ? i like the single screw
after havinh the twins ,i prefere twins but not the poor maint. room isssues
has single prop not a twin prop
is this a carb. motor
i would plan to add ac
i wonder what that would cost, if a yard installed it like a factory unit?
i could use a portable genniif i needed to.
anybody have a 95 290 single

I do not think you will be happy with it. I believe it will be underpowered and your fuel consumption will suffer as you will have to keep the 4bbls engaged to make it run well. Now a 502 would be a different story altogether.

A/C will be under $2500 and is a DIY particularly if on a trailer.

Ping Harlen. He just got a 290 with twin 4.3 and B3's. He tellm me it runs like a scalded rat and cruises at 3100 RPM.
