A/C question on Carver 370

Good day to all. I was reworking some a/c ducting on the boat and was wondering if any one knew where the temp probe that is at the end of about 2 feet of copper tubing is supposed to be located. I believe it is in the return air flow duct. Please correct me if i,m wrong thanks for the help.
 
On my 3607 the probes are located located just in front of the coil for each unit. Just make sure the copper probe is not in direct contact with the aluminium fins.
 
Thanks for the info. funny you should say that in the mean time i looked at the other 2 units on the boat and the temp probe is zip tied directly to the fins from factory installation.Guess i will change that. Thanks
 
Yep, zip tied t the fins. Look closely there should be an isolator between the tube and the fins
