Lost a friend and dockmate this month but he left me with this prayer. I thought it was appropriate to share with my fellow fishermen/gals.

A Fisherman's Prayer

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day;

And when it comes to my last cast; I then most humbly pray;

When in the Lord's great landing-net and peacfully asleep,

That by His mercy I be judged Good Enough to Keep!
 
I'm gonna put that in the lid of my Tackle box. Someday soon my son's gonna come get all my stuff and he'll see that.
The good guys go out looking forward to a better trip.
 
Thud, Good idea about mounting on tackle box.

Think I'll engrave the Prayer on a few 4" x 4" Brass or Aluminum Plaques.

Anyone want one, let me know.(no charge)
 
Count me in. I have framed one in the cabin. Much too big for the boat though. Grandkids got it for me one Christmas.
