A gorgeous weekend!

We went out Saturday, over to Croton. Wind was from the NW and it was rocking and rolling there. Packed up and went into Bowline, where we rafted up with our good friends. The water there was completely flat. We stayed overnight and all day Sunday. We had a fantastic time.

Very few other boats in the pond.

If you didn't get out this past weekend, you missed some perfect weather.

A good friend passed away over the winter...his wife also loves boating and is determined to keep the boat.
We accompanied her on a ride to Tarrytown to check out "Barley on the Hudson" at the old striped bass.

Docks are in tough shape but there. If you remember the horse shoe, it is available but only one side...on the other side is an old dock with bolts sticking out, I wouldn't dock there. We chose the far side of the pump out dock. The building has only bathrooms. the bar outside is very nice and there is a food shack outside. Worth the visit but sad to see it in disrepair.

We were considering it last weekend. I called to find out what the docking situation was. Are you saying they don't have a full menu that is comparable to what Striped Bass offered? I don't think I would make the trip up just for drinks and snack bar food.

Bob, Sunset Cove, which is right next door at the Washington Irving Yacht Club has a great restaurant. Plenty of transient docking is available.

Sunset cove can be tight, depending on the size of your boat.

No, they do not have a full menu but it's pretty comprehensive. It's definitely a tiki bar feel, serving drinks in plastic cups and food on paper plates. I imagine the dishwashers are not working. There are no waitresses, you sit yourself, serve yourself. Order at the snack bar and they give you a pager. https://www.facebook.com/barleyonthehudson/
