We've started a two week trip around the SF bay. We spent a pretty day in Clipper Cove.(Treasure Island) We anchored out and took the dinghy to the beach for the afternoon. We had the beach and pretty much the whole island to ourself. We enjoyed the warm day. It would appear the weather will turn around Weds. We've holed up in Emmeryville and may move up to Petaluma if the weather will permit our passage.

I'm getting conflicting forecasts (nothing new there), however,,,I'm a pilot and we get access to a very reliable weather service to use for planning flights. It calls for the threat of rain to begin midday today at 23% chance, peak at 50% on Wednesday, drop to 10% Thursday morning, back to 30% Thursday evening, and be gone midday Friday. I am planning on it and will be on the water Friday-Saturday-Sunday. The tricky part is there is some erratic high pressure holding three storms off the coast, and it's a question of when it will collapse. But worst case they are small storms with not much water. Just warm those hot buttered rums and enjoy! By the way, when you dock at Petaluma wander into Sooze's and enjoy a terrific wine bar! She is right there where you dock. Enjoy!

Craig,
How long does it take you to come up from Capitola?

I believe he drives from Capitola to San Leandro where he slips his boat. Right Craig????

We trailer from Cap to Oyster point. We zoomed over to Marina Village for the weekend. From there we've moved to
Emmeryville and tonight, Benicia. We may make the jump to Martinez. I'm writing you from a coffee shop, overlooking
the upper bay. The cloud are impressive. The light is shining brightly on mount diablo (?) Day 4 with 13 more to go.
Already feels like we've been out weeks. It may be the drama with the weather.

On the way up, my volt gauge was going up and down, then settled on 10 volts coming up the bay. I put a meter on the
alternator and it's putting out 12.5 volts. The voltage to the meters is 12.5. Mmmm, perhaps the batteries are charged
and the regulator is cutting back the voltage. I'll have to keep an eye on this.

Always worrisome when something appears to be amiss w/o enough info to figure out whether or not you've got a serious problem! It could be a loose/corroded connect too.

12.5V isn't good. Should be higher...hope it doesn't cause problems. Nice to be able check it with a voltmeter.

Great to follow your trip, even know I live here! Thanks for sharing! Keep it up...

Thanks!
