Early Saturday evening there was a car accident at Union Point Marina. The car going too fast, missed the hairpin turn and ended up in the water. The passenger was able to escape but the driver was stuck. When I came across the scene there were already a number of people trying to free him. They did finally get him out and tried to revive him with no success. When the ambulance arrived they worked on him as well but were unable to revive him.

Has anyone heard anything about this? I never saw anything on the news or even in the Stockton Record. Normally something like this would be big news.

I saw a video on KCRA TV interviewing the manager of Union Point on the 11PM Saturday night news, but I can't find it on KCRA.com..... Maybe you can do a beter search then I did.

I guess it was a busy news night. Usually a drowning gets a little more than that. I helped pull his body up the bank and it did not look good. Unless they revived him after they loaded him up, but I doubt it because he was under for a long time.

The report said he was under water for 10 min.......

It was at least that long. And if you don't get him up in the first few minutes, there is little chance that he'll survive. Unless the water is cold, but down there it's pretty warm.
