So i spent saturday nite at the anchorge ... Walter & Don came by... Was alot fun...

No down to bussiness. I cant get over what pigs some people are that keep there boats at the anchorge. Bails and bails of shrink wrap floating in the water. Guy this am pulls hiw wrap off a bif aft cabin.. just letting the sections he cut blow into the water.. knowing full well it was happening.. the wood he used to frame... all thrown down to the ground .. some pieces fell into the water.. the plastic straps blowing all over .. WTF... and it wasnt just one isolated case... some guys pulled up in a truck were pouring some buckets into the water over by the travel lift ... its just a giant dumping grounds... Paint cans andlids ... plastic bags all floating in the water.... I was disgusted ....

and to think this goes on every year and no one does anyting about it is just WRONG...

On another note my puppy woke me up this am ... there was a huge fire over to the west/// any know what it was? ?

That is appalling. These same people will complain about the cleanliness of the water too.

Unfortunately, it's not limited to the Anchorage.

Pretty sad indeed,
In the four years I have been there I have never seen this before. If you go to the end of D dock it looks like a garbage dump in the water. I am going to call the office today to let them know.

When i walked down to check ur slip for electric ... everywhere u looked there was crap.... nothing tied down... total disrespect...

Im calling there to this am... They have to do something...

You have to go to the meetings and voice your opinion.
What does our common charges get used for?
We even pay extra for shrink wrap cleanup!
 
I can tell you that not having the dumpsters available has been pretty rough. I'm pretty carefull about making sure I'm cleaned up properly around my boat (escpecially since I'm stored near someone elses property). But, (barring shrink wrap), there's not a dumpster in site. Not to mention, the water isn't on yet (as per the norm). All that aside, it doesn't take much to keep a contractor bag around to keep the garbage and so forth. Those corner slips get pretty disgusting when all this stuff floats in with the tides.
 
I spoke to Joelle and told her, she is pretty good about this kind of stuff and I am sure she will jump on it.
When I removed my wrap I brought it to the dumpster by the office myself. If they want to know who's wrap it is all they need to do is check for the sticker on the wrap.

i think they should fine everyone whos crap ends up in the drink,,,,but u know people will remove the sticker.. rather then the trash...

And soon everyone will be painting their bottoms with no drop cloths on windy days.
One year I had little black dots all over my boat from someone paintin in the wind.
 
CurrentSea, are you allowed to bottom paint yourself at the Anchorage? I know there are new laws requiring pesticide licensing in order to bottom paint, unless it's at your own house, dock, etc. Seems very confusing to me and I was just curious if you knew anything.

Yes you are allowed , you must use a drop cloth or you will be fined.
