We have recently purchased a 1998 350 Mariner and the Ocean Marine A/C will not shut off with the control and will continue to cool until I shut off the breaker. I have been told its likely in the circuit board. Any information or replacement parts supply would be appreciated.

It could be the thermostat or board/relay/contact, depending on what is holding it in.
Disconnect the thermostat and see if it still runs. If so, it is not the thermostat.
What year is the a/c?

Thanks for the reply. I think the A/C is 1998 the same as the boat. I will check out the thermostat. If it's the relay/contact board where can I purchase a replacement?

You can get most parts online, but if there is a boat yard in your area, they can get it for you.
Just get the model and serial number of the a/c unit and tell them what part you are looking for.

Ocean Marine is no longer in business and I'm told parts are scarce. Any help finding a supplier would be welcome.

we had a similar issue on our 2000 350 mariner in 2010. It was the circuit board. Instead of just replacing that I decided to replace the A/C unit with a new one that had a updated(QUIET) compressor and sound insulation. As you know it sits right over the stateroom and when it would kick on in the night, previous was quite noisy and would wake us up. The new unit makes a world of difference.

Thanks everyone, I had new electronics installed last summer (control board, wiring, and circuit board) and all is working great now.

Floyd, would you share the brand/model you installed. We have a 1999 350 also -- understand about the vubration and noise from original unit. Thanks, Bob
