Hey, Guys - In my 3257, it appears the return for the air conditioning is under the starboard bench seat in front of the table. Is there a filter there? All I saw was some metal mesh...not sure what is supposed to be there. Any ideas?

That metal mesh is the filter. Remove the grill and slide the mesh out, hose the debris out of it and re-install

For the best protection, I've always had a foam filter purchased from the big box stores directly on the evap coil of the a/c.
Most AC units have a thin foam filter that slides in rails immediatly in front of the evap coil. I think the filter your talking about is right behind the return grill and not attached to the AC unit. So there should be 2 filters one behind the return air grill the other against the evap coil.

Mine is exactly as Kenny described...metal mesh only. In my case it was/is installed immed in front of evap coil.
