Albacore in Oregon

Greetings,
Last saturday we caught tuna 48 miles west of Garibaldi Ore.Fabulous weather,ocean like a lake,it does`nt get much better than that!
Anyone else fish Pacific NW?

I didn't know albacore were that far north. I'm in northern California. Do they run up to Oregon every year or just sometimes? Glad you had good luck! I used to fish albacore off the coast of Santa Barbara. What a thrill!!!!

We're finally getting albacore down here off of the Monterey coast, but I'm jealous of you guys for the last few years you Oregon guys have had better and closer tuna runs. I'm hoping to get out next week to get some the oceans white meat.

I don`t know how long this has been going on, but a few years anyway.May be a little earlier this year than last.What a riot!We don`t come near limiting out[25 ea],but we`d sink the boat if we did.Two or three on at a time is not unusual.20/30 lbs.Thanks for the replies.
