Alternators Not Charging

[Priceless]

Have a problem with a four forty four Caver charging system.
Two isolation blocks. Five batteries. All charge via Shore power (charger). All charge via generator. Nothing from either alternator?? Cannot get either alternator to fire-up. Each has exciter circuits. Rev. engines and get an output of approx. 5 volt max??? Not nearly enough to charge.
Any ideas???

Anyone know how to flash the field of the alternators. Diesel cummins.

Found Both Alternators No Good. Removed, rebuilt, installed...
