Time for a new chain/rope anchor rode. I like 5/16 BBB chain for the boat: I don't use a windlass and like the flexible quality of BBB and how it falls easily through the deck pipe.
I'm shopping prices and noticed that 5/16 Acco BBB and G4 are very close in price. One place sells the G4 for a litle less per foot than BBB. Both are hot dipped galvanized but the G4 has the higher strength. So this surprises me. Does the G4 have some undesirable trait the BBB doesn't?
