Anchoring

I would like to thank everyone for the suggestions on my topic. Thanks Yzer & Flutterby for inviting me to SF Delta forum. I too fish the delta alot mostly during the fall and winter also the spring. I love my striper & sturgeon fishing. I whish i could use a Windlass on my boat but i don't have the room for the winch or the divit i only have 16 inches to work with on the front of my boat. Also i have no place for the rope or chain to go from the windlass. I have a pontoon boat so their's no hull. I'am trying to find a way to anchor without having to pull up the anchor by hand, but if i have to to get a good anchoring system then i must. Again thanks for the help hope to see you out on the Delta some time. The name of my boat is (Diane's Diamond Ring) had to name the boat after my wife since i was going to buy her a big diamond ring but she loves the boat .
