I'll be there on Saturday.
Who else is planning to go? Always a good time...

If the weather isnt too bad I will be there on Thurs. It will be interesting to see how many dealers wont be there.

Planning on Friday, if rain stays away, if not Pussers will be selling a lot of pain killers.

Van,

Give us the details when you get back....

Brad,
Hopefully the weather will not be as bad as they are saying. I will let you know!
Van

Got home a little early today, and the boat show VHF is ch71, and they were 2 docks away of final load, so I think many will be there, but not the # of boats. I heard Hinkley say we are both here and ready for dock, and they many times bring more than 2. Come this yr. because Annap. announced that liqu. prices were increasing 54% the end of the yr. Looks like I'll buy my beer on the eastern shore!

Dusty....is that 54% a city tax they are putting on all alcohol or a county tax?

If the economy doesn't hurt the boat show it sure looks like the weather will. 45 degrees and rain this weekend, can't hardly picture worse weather. I was really looking forward to going Saturday but not if that weather holds.

I was planning to come down from NY for the show, most likely I was going to be at the show Friday and Sunday and take a side trip Saturday. But looking at the forecast now with the cold, wind, and rain, as well as the possibility of coastal flooding where I live I may end up skipping the trip entirely or maybe just come down for Sunday if things settle down enough by then.

My daughter is doing the 3-day, 60 mile walk Breast Cancer Walk this weekend so we'll pass on the boat show to be here, taking care of our grandson and proving our daughter encouragement.

It is a city tax increase, and coming from a 54% increase to this yrs. liq. lic. They vary some if you serve till 2am, or just beer and wine, but I understand the min. increase is 54%.

I am going today rain or no rain. We had a group going but they all backed out. So I will be there with the wife looking to see what it there.

So I went I saw and I have returned home. I parked right across the street Ding :) Paid $20.00 Ding Ding Walked across the street to the gate. A guy hands the wife free ticket to get in so it was 1/2 price getting in Ding Ding Ding.... So I we went through the whole thing then went to eat at Pussers had a cocktail then went through the boats.

We braved the rain for a little while. Anyone notice how they had boats docked horizontal to give the impression they were full?

Went Saturday, in the rain, but dressed for it. Very
light crowd. Sales guys not very aggressive. All inside their boats avoiding the wind, rain, and cold. First in a long time (like, never) no line at the Viking boats (just looking). Everyone in the tents however. But everyone's spirits were good-natured, joking about the weather. Very few new boats there. Impressed with Regal's 44 and 52.

Auction pricing at the Carvers was new to me. But, someone bought the 42/43 Supersport at the "buy it now" price instead of letting the auction proceed.

All-in-all, always great fun. Managed to forget I paid $51 for 3 tix. Another first - able to walk a straight line on the docks without having to juke and jive to avoid running into someone. But, after all these years going, I was not fast enough to keep my wife from pulling her credit card out for the "Touch of Purple" booth. ;)

Went yesterday! Ended up not being a bad day. No big crowds! Lots of bargains on leftovers! It seems the day of shaft driven boats is quickly going away. Most everything was IPS,Zeus or outboard. The shaft boats were heavily discounted. Dealers just trying to move inventory.

Formula finaly got smart and put prices on their boats instead of selling the payment. Regal had their new 44 coupe and the 52. Both were impressive. Cruisers had an auction on 3 boats but only brought up to the 39'. Tons of trawler style boats with lots of traffic. The larger Oceans and sport fish didnt seem to be real busy. Also they had a Center Console with 5X 300HP Merc 4strokes on the back. The salesman should of had a recording just stating how fast and how much. He would have saved himself allot of time. All in all I thought it was a good show.

I had tickets for thursday and Friday. We had breakfast on Thursday at Chick's, came outside and it was just nasty. Even with umbrellas pants were wet in no time. Didn't go at all this year. First time in probably 10 years. Miserable weather.

We went on Friday.....small crowds, no waiting....went back Sunday to get to stuff we did not have time to do on Friday (mostly the exhibits)....no lineups for pain killers either day.....
