Well, I did it. I had to. She is too beautiful a boat not to. The survey went smooth as glass and she came through with flying colors. So I wrote the check on a 1984 36' Chris Craft Commander Sportfish. She's out in South Jamesport, and as soon as the check clears, I'll bring her around, once again to the Great South Bay. My winter boat yard will be especially happy to see me this year, because I'll have 2 boats for them to lay up. Now, this will probably be the longest winter I've sat through, knowing what's waiting for me on the other side. She doesn't need much. Just a few personal odds and ends, so I'll have the off season to read through catalogs and get her just the way I like her for spring.
