After making almost every dumb move a boater can and will make I added a new one this weekend. Got up to the boat with friends Friday night with everything we needed for a great weekend except the boat keys which were still on my kitchen counter in Fresno. Two hours later, with a sizable dent in my wallet, a locksmith came out of Stockton and got us going. Getting ready to pull the boat out on Sunday, I found the boat trailer securly padlocked to prevent theft, and of course the key in my kitchen at home. A sledgehammer and steel chisel fixed the problem.(lucky I buy cheap padlocks). Winching the boat on the trailer and the cable broke on the winch. Oh well it was still a marvelous couple weeks of boating even when I was digging up mud on the Moke (I only say Moke because I can't spell the real name) I just love that place up there.
