Thinking of storing with them and having some cosmetic work done. They have a good storage rate and good hourly labor rate ($70).

Anyone know of their work? They build a line of downeast boats (Salmon River) so they must have some decent knowlege of repair as well.

Anything special that I need to know about navigating 15 miles up the CT river? I've been to Essex and Hamburg Cove, but never any further.

A friend of mine stored with them two winters ago to have the decks refinished on his 44' boat. He had alot of spyder cracks and crazying in the gelcoat and wanted that addressed along with a new non-skid pattern. They did a great job, seemed conscientious, and worked with my friend to get the job done right.

As with any labor rate driven project, track billable hours. Good luck with your boat!

I`ve stored there for many years, its a safe protected yard. I haven`t had repair work done there but know the owners well, honest and conscientious guys. The river is well marked and plenty deep in the channel, typical of rivers, stay away from the inside of the bends and around the islands, that`s where the sandbars are.
