Okay, where are the rocks near Jones Point that this guy hit??? I don't have a chart handy and its been a long time since I was down that way, so I'm looking at a chart excerpt in the Waterway Guide and its like 50 feet deep close to shore. Did he just run right up on the riverbank??? The damn river is over a mile wide at that point - how the Hell do you accomplish THAT??????

PS - I probably should keep my mouth shut after my mishap last year, but I guess it goes to show you that as dumb as you think you are, there's always someone dumber out there. I hope the guy will be ok...
 
That is exactly what he did Pete. Somehow I think there is something the press has not said. Either illness or alcohol related.
 
How about this theory? He was jumping the waves crashing on the rocks and joined in on the fun?
