Anyone got hit from todays Storm?

PSEG Long Island: Storm Update-June 30, 2019 6:00 p.m. ET

At approximately 3 p.m. today, strong winds, heavy rain and hail caused significant damage in Western Suffolk County. It brought down large trees, branches and wires affecting over 54,000 customers. Hardest hit areas are in the Towns of Islip, Huntington, Smithtown and Babylon.

I was at dock in Stamford it was a crazy storm the blow through. There was pieces of boats and dock mats flying through the air all I could think of was the Wizard of Oz and flying cows. Fortunately I didn't have any damage but others had canvas blown right off their boat. I found several dock mats in the water near my boat. I know of at least one boat the sank on a mooring ball yards awayfrommy marin a. It was simply crazy!

Was back at my dock by the time it hit but the wind was wild. Thought for a while that I might loose some canvas.

I saw it roar through from my back porch...Thought the winds were worse than Sandy for as brief as it was. None of the boats in the harbor behind my house broke loose or seemed to suffer damage which surprised me. Our lights went out at about 3pm and came back on by 2am, pretty fast service from PSEG compared to the bad old days of LIPA. I ran the generator for that time period, used about a half tank of gas...

We got a little rain and some wind, then we got a beautiful orange sky with a double rainbow.

Spoke to a friend yesterday turns out he got caught on the sound in the middle of it maybe he will share his experience. Being he is a member as well. Lets just says it was crazy out there!

Was anchored in Hemlock cove when it it. Anchor dragged a bit but held. My 9ft dinghy with a 6 hp outboard was tied to the back of the boat when a gust of wind got under the bow and flipped it upside down, motor and all. Worse that would have happened to me was i would have been pushed ashore.

Sat it out, after lunch, at Belle Haven Yacht Club in Greenwich; winds clocked at 45 knots. Dockmate at Huguenot Yacht Club, New Rochelle, got caught on the Sound coming back from Port Washington. He said it was the worst he'd experienced in years; scared everyone on his boat. No damage to our boat back at the dock in Huguenot. We were driving in the Commack area on Monday. Trees down and recently cleared. What a mess. Hy

One of my side windows on the helm blew off the tracks in Stamford. Can’t remember ever being in a boat in winds like that.
