We want to hire a Captain to take our Tolly 44 up to the San Juan Islands this summer, then leave it for a couple of years.
Our idea of winterizing to make sure the air conditioners are on low. OK, maybe not, but it will be a whole new world for us if we take our boat up there for a couple of years. I am told it will be $5.50 a ft to store it inside with "moderate" electricity.
I am hoping someone on here can fill in some squares. Like.."What is moderate electricity"?
What problems come up when you use a "warehouse"?
What does it cost if you pay someone to "winterize a twin diesel"? Just a ball park number, I understand there are a LOT of variables.
ANY info would be appreciated. We are looking at Anacortes, Wa right now, but have a couple of emails from people on the Oregon coast that sound interesting.
Thanks again...Dave
How important is a diesel heater if you use your boat from June to early fall?
