Our old heads are a nasty, dirty looking cream or something close.... They still work great but I was thinking about removing the heads to tape them off and paint them... Has anyone done this? Do you have pics of the results?

This is what mine looks like now.

If they are porcelain, they will look like painted porcelain (read crap, no pun intended) Friends just had one of their bathrooms re-glazed because they could not get the old cast iron tub out without major damage to the house. It came out great.

Google bathroom refinishing.

Yea, they are plastic... Figured Krylon Fusion would work but I wonder if it would stay on the inside of the bowl, particularly if I have to plunge the bowl or something wonder if it would scratch....

Anyone know how hard it is to remove the head from the floor? I see the bolts, but wondering if there is gaskets or just a hose connected underneith...

It's not hard.

Is it only those bolts, the water line and the electrical connections and it's loose?

nothing to loose by trying. good prep work, chemical cleaning and sanding, will go a long way toward success. Later if you aren’t happy you can always buy a new head. The seat is probably an off the shelf size, cheap too.

Yea, the seat is already newer... Just wanted to get the bowl another color than that nasty old color it is now.

Hell if that is all you are trying to do, man up and duck tape the hell out of it.

I thought that's how you spot a blind man at a nudist colony...

Yeah, but think of all the fun they have "feeling" their way around.
