That bloated carver motoryatch heading towards Barnegat Light in Oayster Creek on Sunday afternoon. Crowded skinny channel, he was on plane with about 6 to 8 people on the bow, mostly kids - NONE wearing life vests. Had a bunch of people on the bidge. As if this wasnt bad enough he almost swamped a small fishing boat. I came to a complete stop to take his wake which was huge and unpleasant.

I hailed him on 16 with no response, wasnt suprised. I was half tempted to call the coast guard Barnegat Light, i could not believe the kids on the bow. This boat must of bin 45+, anyone who knows the area where Oayster and Double creek come together at the mouth of the inlet knows you dont have a chance if you fall overboard.

I never post things like this but WTF are people thinking?? And the same day my friend who has an imaculate older Bertram and is a liscened captain gets a random coastie boarding about 3 miles away. Whatever!

Isn't it better to be under power so you can maneuver when encountering a wake?

I was Ed, and was traveling in the opposite direction, took the wave head on. It was so large I was worried id stuff the bow in my 34 footer.
