Aquapalooza in Zacks Bay

I will go, went last year, though not letting them use my anchor this year, was a bitch to get up after all those boats on it plus I am shocked I didn't pop a cleat!
 
I generally set anchor away from the crowd, usually someone in my party wants to leave earlier than the end time... but its still fun being there.. I registered.
 
Perhaps we can do our own private boatered raftup?
I would go but like I said last year, they wanted my boat anchored and though I wouldn't mind if it was the bow anchor, they wanted to use my rear. So I broke out my fortress FX16. In the beginning It was just holding the raft up with not alot of tension but as more boats came, it get tighter and as people left it got tighter to the point where I was telling people not to hang on swim platform in fear that cleat could pop.

When we left, I had 10 guys on my boat and they couldn't pull it up.
I backed right on top of it and they finally got it up but it was tough!
 
boatered raft up sounds great! I think Ill be around for the 12th.
 
I'm not interested in Aquapalooza but I think a BE raft up would be great.

Whenever I hear "Fortress FX" anything I get all tight inside.

I wish I had the Fortress on the front but would need to change the whole design.

So if everyone is insterested, Aqua-loser starts at 11.
What if we say all meet between 10 and 11 in Zach's?

Start our own raftup away from the mayhem but we can watch and hear the music!
 
What size fortress? Is it a FX-23?
Did they change the roller?
Can you take a pic of how it sits in there?
I actually am getting a new roller but didn't want to change it for fear the wholes wouldn't line up.

I will check on the weekend and get back to you with pictures. It is a bit beat up but works fine. I don't think the roller has been changed.
 
You sure it is a fortress? Danforths look just like fortress.
Fortress will say fortress on shank and they are reall light aluminum.
Issue I saw with fortress for my boat was shank is too long.
 
16 would be too small for your boat, I have the 16 but use it as a rear.
If it's a 23 and it fits, I would love to see how it fits.
How well does it hold you and set?

I have never had it break free and sets easy. Mostly sand and mud in the areas that I boat. Weeds in other places. Pulled up a ground hog on it once! My wife started screaming.

So what was the final status on Aquapalooza?
We doing a BE raftup?
 
Im going to take some of my co-workers and tie up to a friends boat outside the big floatila. No big mess for me.
 
I've got a wedding in Philly this weekend and won't be back in time for it. I wouldn't do the big raft up thing, but I would have done the smaller thing.
