In all my time boating I have had yards do electrical work and done some myself but another thread got me wondering if there are licensed marine electricians??

Licensed electricians are required by city codes but I don't think there is any such requirement for boats. I also don't know if normal electricians will work on boats.
 
There are ABYC certified marine electricians at the marina where we winter some years. I am not sure if that is what you were looking for with your question.

never thought about it but yes I guess what I was asking about is if ABYC certified electricians work locally.. I just considered ABYC as building standards. But didn't know that local folks could be certified, makes sense. That is good info. I have no idea if the guys yards use would be certified or not.
