AT&T International vs BTC Cell service in Bahamas

We are heading over to the Berry's & Exumas for 3 months. We have used BTC in the Abacos in the past. Has anyone used the AT&T International plan which offers unlimited Texting? Plans start at $30 a month. We are not as concerned with voice or Data but keeping in touch with the family by text is a must.

Is that new? Wasn't aware of it. Texting on Att phone is expensive in the Bahamas, I use a BTC phone there but that s not cheap eithrr

Interesting new plans. For $60 a month you also get 0.50 a minute voice which I think is cheaper than BTC prepaid

I ll check the fine print but looks pretty good

I would still use by BTC phone for data hot spot as it is much cheaper

seems like every time I call AT&T, I get a different answer. This time they said unlimited text outgoing but $.50 incoming. Which makes no sense.

The website says incoming texts are billed at domestic rate

Hmm. I wonder if Skype texting via the BTC data plan is competitive?
