I finally got my schedule for the AC Boat Show, opening on Wednesday. I'll be there Wed, Thu and Fri, but I won't be there for Sat and Sun - other company reps will.

I am going to get there early (Thursday or Friday) this week Vic. I look forward to meeting you at the boat show. I just ordered the PuaSan and the Electronics and 12VDC pump for the Hold-N-Treat from BoatFix. This should really compliment the new Elegance head.

Bill, I'll be there, Lord willing. Looking forward to meeting you in person. I'll be the old f*rt with gray hair, scraggly beard, glasses and pot belly. [:-bigeyes][:-bigeyes]

Vic,

I will see you on Friday. Will Joe be there too?
I will have some questions about my crown head

Thanks!

You look like Les? May God have mercy on you.:D

You guys will have no problem finding each other, as you'll be the only ones there?

Craig, Les is a little younger than me, and doesn't wear glasses - at least not all the time. I guess you didn't know, but Joe left the company back in August. I'll be there by myself in the booth. The're planning on having two guys in the booth on Sat and Sun, but I'll be by myself during the week days.

Sorry to hear about Joe leaving the company. I hope it was on good terms and possibly a better opportunity.

Looks like I will be there Friday as well. I will be leaving after my wife's doctors appointment. Bill

Any report on how busy the Show has been so far? I'm probably going to be there on Sunday.

I thought the show was great. It was nice meeting Vic, he said he had met at least 3 other guys from the board. I am taking my wife back tomorrow today I treated my OPs manager to the show. He loved the big 47' Maridian, I like the Marine Trader Trawler.

Wife and I went yesterday (Friday). Not very crowded. NO Silvertons, NO Carvers, NO Cruisers, ecomomic situation is showing. Did manage to meet many friends there. Had a great time.

Love that new 43 SeaRay.

I went to the show on Tuesday, and it was much smaller than last year. The good news is that it took less time to see everything I wanted to see. The Marine Trader Trawler was my favorite also. I enjoyed meeting Vic, who provided invaluable advice a couple of years ago when I had a problem with my boat.

Vic I took my wife back today Saturday. We looked at some stuff came back and ordered stuff (FLIR) for one. I had a chance today to actually flush the new Elegance I can not believe how quiet that thing is! We can't wait to get it and the PuraSan treatment system and Hold-N-Treat installed. The place was packed today we almost couldn't find parking.

Went to the show yesterday. Lots of people, nothing selling. Boats over roughly 40' feet were not to be found. Large disappointment. NY show had more boats and I thought that show blew chunks!

Should have saved my dollars and went to Miami.

John, I saw you there Saturday, but was too shy to come up and say Hello. ;)

I also took note of the lack of HUGE boats there, as well as the absence of any Four Winns and Fountain/Baja boats. I don't recall seeing many 2009 boats either, most were 2008 leftovers.

My favorite was the Larson Cabrio 330DC (Day Cruiser). I liked how the bow part of the cabin was set up more as a soical place wiht a table and seating, that could also be turned into a berth. Most of the other cruisers are setup as a bed first, and most can't even be converted.

The biggest surprise was an 18' Monterey bowrider for $30,000. Who would buy such a boat for that kind of money, when most other manufacturers produce an 18 footer for under $20,000, and most of those are like $15,000?

Vic, I stopped by the Raritan booth and talked to some kid who said you had the weekend off. He mumbled something about the benefits of seniority...

did you leave her with Vic???

Vic wasn't there on Saturday, Bruce. We had a good time our favorite boat was the 36 Trawler. I almost went for it on Friday but got myself under control. They were going to sell it to me for $210k. If I could have gotten about $70k for my boat I would have the new Trawler. I was suprised it looked pretty darn good for a Chineese made boat. Dave Miller Marine had the boat imported. In reality I am really happier with my current boat but I have a feeling if my economic conditions continue to be stable I will have diesels in my Sedan Bridge.
