Well it all started a couple of week ago, when I returned back aboard Freedoms Choice.
I noticed that my on-board Lap Top had walked off the boat along with ALL my Florida and Bahamas cd's
Panic set in immediately... I had jumped at the chance to asked around those problem Teenage kids near the neighborhood..Reward offered, Constabulary notified but I was told by them that the unit was most likely sold already.
So I went out and purchased another craptop and was able to load in my Maptech Charts from Pensacola back to Canadian waters..
I contacted Sir Pascal for his advise with my dilemna that I was facing and he the recommend for me to download Seaclearll and Opencpn ,which I am most grateful for both his time and help.
Well I was able to download those Florida Rasta Charts but was only able to load them into my Maptech Program ...
Can anybody advise me as to the procedure necessary to do the same for the Seaclearll
Program or can they recommend a tech. for this work.
Thank Y'all in advance,
Charles

Hey Charles

here is what the SeaClearII manual says...

Before using BSB/KAP charts in SeaClear they should be registered:
Start MapCal and make sure all KAP files are in the chart path.
From the top menu select “Tools-> Autoload list-> Scan for New Charts”. The KAP files will be
scanned for name, coverage and other data and listed in the SeaClear autoload database.

Personally i really prefer ActiveCPN. I find the interface to be far more user friendly, especially chart selection. the only thing missing is a track function (breadcrumbs) at least in the version i have. the author is still improving the program so it may be in the current version
