I am looking for the barbed fitting that goes on the bottom of the hand pump faucet. I have sent several e-mails to Attwood but they have not been answered. I am guessing my request is so small they don't want to deal with it. Does anyone know where I can get the plastic screw on barbed fitting on the bottom of a 6130 faucet? It looks like the screw on fitting on the bottom of the 6143 faucet. I think the 6130 has been discontinued. THe style of mounting for the 6143 is different than the 6130 so I can't use it. I also would like the check ball that fits into the bottom of the faucet. Thanks.

Take it off and go to a "good ol' mom and pop" type hardware store (NOT Home Depot) and I'll bet they can find something, or put something together for you. Most faucet bottoms are a 3/4" straight pipe thread, and all sorts of adapters and such are available to attach to them. It may not turn out the way it was when it left the builder, but you should be able to jerry-rig something that'll work.

Thanks Vic! I thought of that but the problem I have is that the check ball for the hand pump uses the bottom of this adapter to seat against. It also has "tabs" inside this part to keep the ball centered. This bottom of the pump is about 1 1/4" threaded. I may see if some good old pvc pipe glue will do the trick to put the nipple back on it. As long as gear doesn't get incorrectly stowed again it may last a season until I can find something to work better. Maybe get a copper nipple and heat it up and screw it in place while it is hot.

I ended up taking my own advice and heated up a brass nipple then threaded it into the bottom of the faucet. Works like a champ! Glad to have water at the faucet. The first mate will enjoy that for sure!

There ya go - as they say, necessity is the mother of invention!
