Does anyone keep their boat at Bamar Marina(old Pennybridge)?

I haven't but my Aunt did a number of years ago.

The big issue is the bridge you have to go under. Must wait for low tide in order to fit. Not sure what the clearance is but it's not much.

The bridge is my only concern as well. My brother in law works there and is getting us in at a great price. I am hoping to head down Wendsday and see how I fit at high tide.

Anyone have any other experience there?

BTW she had an older 24' Sea Ray and had to wait for low tide to come and go. Not sure what her height was.

Current, Lots of current. Dock there and you will be able to dock almost any where. I was there for about 5 years. Had a 27 Chap, never had the bimini up due to fact we would have to take it down for high tide. You can get in and out most times if you are careful. Full moon high tides are a no-no...
out of all the times I went in and out only managed to get stuck out once. I picked up a few extra passengers, put them on the bow and in we went. There is a spot on the left side that is cut out about an inch or two. We used that many times and would use people to stand on the bow and walk us thru.

There is also a sunken barge that you want to find out where it is. Saw many boats go over it at high tide, many props destroyed there...

I HAVE BEEN EVICTED!

The owner of the marina came home (from some sort of retirement home) and was a bit perturbed that they let me put my boat on his dock. He's an older fella, and his boats were sold off this past year, but he is still not happy. I have been relocated to Dock "D" on the outside.

Low tide was kind of low back there, and High tide today was pretty tight getting under that bridge. I have to keep better track of tides for this summer...

Sorry to hear about the move...The extra height I was talking about above is on the left side of the bridge, going out....You pick up about an inch or 2...
