Had a discussion about running the battery switch in the "both" position. I distinctly remember a very technical thread a couple of years back that seemed to give a definitive answer to this age old question. If I remember, the guy who gave the technical answer was an EE or professional electrician.
For some reason I don't have a search button on any of the pages. Anyone remember the thread? Anyone remember who that expert was?
General guidance (consistent across dozens of threads here and on other boards) seems to be to run position "1" on odd days (or outbound), position "2" on even days (or inbound), and only run in "both" when neither battery by itself has sufficient juice to crank the motor.
What is the technical reason for not running in "both" all the time? (a link to that technical answer would be great)
