What is the current best sanitation hose that can be esily or be reasonably sourced anywhere? Seems like there was some discussion about changing suppliers at some point.

I have a vacuflush so want something decent.

Sealand Odorsafe is as good as it gets. You must get it from a sealand dealer.

X2 for the Sealand PVC hose, not cheap but worth every penny IMHO.

Hard PVC would be better for odor but not flexible like the Sealand hose. My Galley Maid heads use hard PVC from the toilet to the pump, then hose from there on down.

SeaLand Odersafe is what I used. I'm not sure if it gets much better either.

If at all possible, you may want to consider replacing your hose with hard PVC, using rubber "repair" couplings every six feet or so, to allow for flexing. I did this in my 33' Carver. I replaced 19 feet of hose with PVC at a fraction of the cost of marine sanitation hose. Simply went down to my local big box and picked up two ten foot lengths of 1 1/2" sched 40 PVC and at least 2 of every angle connector and two of the rubber couplers.
Of course, I could access pretty much the whole run, except for a small section. It may be different on your boat.

Brett, if you have not yet started this project you can get the Sealand odorsafe locally at Marine sanitation in Seattle.
This is also on my ta do list, just not on a warm day.

I have been told PVC, if you can, and if not, don't spend the money on anything that is advertised for sanitation, but use heater/exhaust hose; if it doesn't perminate the heat or exhaust, it won't perminate the "smell"!

Trident #101 or #102 are also good; they're both the same hose, but one's black and the other one is white - I can never remember which is which.

I used the 101 for my last job. It's only been in a few months but not a scent and was easy to work with.

Scott, the #101 should be good for at least 5-7 years before you'll need to be concerned about any odor coming from the hose.

Trident 101 is black and 102 is white but $8+ per foot seems pretty steep. I may have to look at the PVC route.

Rommer--- do not feel sorry for yourself if "I may have to look at the PVC route."

PVC is the least expensive and IT IS THE BEST!!! CANNOT BE BEAT BY ANYTHING OTHER THAN STAINLESS STEEL PIPE! How much stench does one find in his/her home from waste pipes?? That stuff is durable, strong........2" stuff is rated for over 200 psi and has a typical bursting pressure around 1000 psi.

I have used this stuff for a lever by sliding a length over a socket wrench to make a 3' breaking bar for removing hard to remove large nuts. I have never broken a piece of PVC pipe even in cold weather.
