Best way to clean fuel tanks

Hi folks, went out for the first time on my new to me Carver 355 and had some fuel problems. Bad diesel fuel was uncovered at survey and I thought we had the problem fixed. Anyway I need to clean out all 3 tanks. As far as I know there are no access holes for any of the tanks. Can anyone recommend the best way to get the gunk out.

Have them "Polished". Fuel is drawn out, completely cleaned and polished, then returned to the tank.

yeah but polishing won't actually clean the tanks themselves.

Carver is usually pretty good at allowing access to the tanks, you have to be a real adventuring type person to dig around and take things apart.

What we found on the last Carver we cleaned (while it was gas) was the with saddle type arrangements we find a totally different fuel quality in each tank.

Customers ask can we re-use the fuel, my most common reply is "I can't make wine out of sour grapes".

dont know what engines you have , most diesels cycle 3 or 4X as much fuel as they use at wot, but running on low tank levels, especially with some rougher weather, will slosh the fuel and the filters will take it out with a few changes.
 
StarTron sells fuel tank cleaner (by the gallon), had similar problem with mine, run thru tank of fuel after adding the StarTron cleaner, had to change filters multiple times, but not a problem since. Looked into fuel polishing but found it to be very expensive and as Woodsong stated not sure that would get the walls/bottom of the tanks clean.
 
Well I had the tanks cleaned professionally. Replaced all 3 filters on each engine. Took the boat out right away and ran great for about an hour and a half. Then the engines started loosing rpm. Same as before.
Will run several more hours. I have 2 cases of racors.
Not sure what I will do if that doesn't work.
Once the fuel is down to a quarter tank am considering removing all remaining fuel and trying again.
