We finally splashed today. Put the boat in up in Newburgh and brought it down to Stony Point. I was stressing out this morning and when we finally got in the river, all was well.

Stopped over to see Dave's new dancefloor and he gave me the grand tour. I want my next boat to have a sectional couch in it!

I'm hoping to see some of you out there soon.

Glad you made it in and all went well.

It was nice to see you today. I'm sure I'll see you there tomorrow. BTW I think I track down the leak bitch to get to be should be an easy fix.

Mike, Clint said something that they moved you down towards the end of D dock. True?

Kind of a mess with the slip. I've to call them today and get back to my old slip. My wife doesn't like being down the dock that far, she can't see the kids if they go to the bathroom or playground. Any news on the guy behind you? Clint didn't think he was coming back.

They claim I can fit in the second slip in from the main next to my old slip. Once again I have to go down there with a tape measure and show them that it won't fit. Why does everything have to be so difficult.

Do you really want an answer to that? ;)

I do, but I already know the answer.

Mike there is no way you will fit in that slip. If that slip was yours ask them to move the new guy to the slip that you are in. It's their mistake not yours. Speak to Jr and explain the situation calmly He might surprise you.

I was on the verge of blowing up, but decided, I'll just go down again and show them all over again. One more try and then my credit card company can handle it from there on out.

Bill (Wild One) is likely not to be back (He was the guy to my port). 2 Peas in a Pod (the 342 Rinker) was supposed to move in, but I heard from Bob that a guy with a new aft cabin is going in there. Slippery Monkey is supposed to go in to where 2 Peas was, which would leave 2 slips open on that side of D (opposite the fairway). That Regal that's to starboard of me is supposedly only transient as well (for sale, nice price), so that might be open. Clint thought it was something he said that you moved, glad to hear it's a marina screwup instead. I'd go talk to Stewart and give him a list of slip numbers that you'd prefer to be at. I'm not thinking you'll get into that slip next to Clint, it's tight.

If the Carver that went in was "Sea-Notes", he's a good guy (Andy), but I'm surprised he didn't take his old slip back (he was where the Regal was)

Clint's got it backwards. Him, his son and freinds are an example of why we want to get back to our slip. They were always there to lend a hand coming in and a pleasure to talk to.

It is "Sea Notes" the went in to that slip. Roger who Owned "Sea Dog" just sold his boat and is buying a 37 Cruisers MY is moving into the Regal spot "Wild One" is not going in and is for sale. Mike I confident that you can find a slip you would be happy with but I wouldn't wait and stay calm, you don't need the stress and these things tend to work out.

That's how my conversations have gone with the marina lately.

You need a graphic chart to follow this thread!

Dave;

I'm confused!! BTW; That's not hard to do for me.

Did you pay this years charges on your "old slip" in a timely manor as spelled out in your marina contract? If you did it seems like a no-brainer. It's your slip. If you didn't then I quess it's up for grabs.

Yes the same slip as last year has been paid in full for several months. I'll post an update after I get onsite and square this away.

MJK

Paid in full receipts mean virtually nothing to the powers that be there.
