Why? Did my comment about running your blower with a diesel boat make you realize how loud they are?

Before I had the problem I never ran mine either ... Put ur hand over the cowling with just the motors running .. Tons of air getting dawn in ...

Perhaps you need better vents leading in to engine room somehow.
If you look at my boat, I have 6 vents per side. 4 are high. 2 are low. I think air comes in the high ones and goes out the low ones.
My engine room really does not get hot at all. I compare to Walter's Silverton and his engine room is stifling after a run.
Your a AC guy, why not run a duct line with a damper from your AC unit. When under way, open damper, when at dock, close it.

Jabsco squirrel cage blowers - Much quieter than inline Rules and they move more air. Bad news is they pull twice as much current and cost 5 times as much. The 12v 4" is jabsco #35770-0092.
Ours were LOUD but mostly because they were mounted on hard points in the engine room "ceiling."
I re-mounted them on short lengths of 1½" sanitation hose (with a 45° angle on each end to facilitate), so the hose acts as a stand-off, absorbs most of the vibration.
MUCH quieter now. Before, the blowers were louder than the diesels at idle. Now they're only slightly perceptible -- certainly not obnoxious -- with engines and genset off.

Cold air would come in the low ones and out of the high ones, same as your attach vents work..............D......

It vents out your engines exhaust.
Think about it. The only reason the air is coming in in the first place with your engines running is because those two giant air pumps are sucking it in. That is all an internal combustion engine is, a big air pump. All the air goes in and then out the engine.
The only way you would have any air going back out your vents with the engines running is if you have very high volume fans blowing more air into your engine room than the engines can consume.

I thought they suck, but maybe I am wrong.
I searched on this and some say they suck for gas and blow for diesel.
If they suck, then when your running, wouldn't air coming in from the outside vent defeat the sucking action.

They suck air out of the ER. The intent is negative pressure in the engine spaces, preventing engine room gasses from leaking into living spaces. For ALL engine types, blowers operate this way, though some engine types nay not require the presence of a blower.

Ok, so if they suck, then running a blower at cruising speed may do very little as the air rushing in may negate the air being sucked out!! Make any sense?

I guess I need to clarify, I was referring to running your engines without blowers running. Which is what I though you were talking about since your current blowers are not working. Or at least that is how I understood it.
