Bimini bay closing till November?

It would not surprise me. We tried to dine up there and were not lucky. No matter what we ordered, they did not have it. We finally had to ask what they DID have and ordered that. It's a shame because Bimini is a very convenient stop between the Berry's or Nassau and the U.S.. Others use it as a weekend stop for fishing.
Today they just devalued the dollar again so we can expect fuel costs to remain high and go higher.

Holiday weekends I avoided it like the plague. Big Game is our favorite as it is closer to the "Bimini Action". However, I do like BB's Pools and Beaches.

I am sure they will get it back together.

What is interesting is I thought the Casino final opened. Any one else been there in the last month or so?

I called after I posted this as we may be going there this week end. They are open but will close from 10/1 to 11/15

We went to big game back in July, don't know if the casino had open. I don't like BB, too far, you have to take a shuttle to check in and they insist on everybody going to the front desk to get a cow tag on their wrist...

Yes, this is one of the aspects of the Bahamas that is killing them. They have this exclusivity maintenance. It's also happening on several of the outer islands. If you do not own in the development, you are dirt.
At this point I rate Guana Cay lowest for this reason. They have two developments and the one central to "town" and Nippers is of the opinion that the marina was meant to be an amenity for the home owners. They go out of their way to make you feel like dirt there. Don't bother trying to walk around the development, and Baker's Bay is no better.
The folks actually think there is enough money in the USA and other countries to fully populate their development communities and keep the staff busy. Ludicrous. If someone buys a vacation/second home at one of these three places, how long will they actually be there? Rentals suffer as well, because the expense of getting to the outer islands puts them into a niche market. Oh well.
What once did well because boaters and others were frequent residents, are now scorned because they are not owners.
Oh well.
