Black spots (mold) in headliner "fabric"of Maxum

You might want to ask this on either "Ask the Captain" or the "Boat Detailing" forum. It's not really a Long Island Club issue.
 
I would say that if you are going to cover it, then remove it altogether. I think that if you try to clean it and then cover it, and you don't get all the mold out, you could have mold festering inside the vinyl.
 
I don't think mold is only a Long Island issue. If I had posted the question I would appreciate opinions from other RO's no matter where they live which is probably why cwms suggested a broader forum.
