Remember that big wind we got last Friday? Well, at last night's monthly meeting, I learned a couple of folks from CYC went to Shattemuck in Ossining (small club just north of Westerly) to offer our club's assistance.
Apparently five sail boats were blown off their jackstands. FWIW, All five were paralell to the river and some *may* have had their tarps tied to jackstands (rumor, not sure about this one).
I believe they hired a crane to pick the boats back up.
Remember...no tarps tied to the stands and sailboaters...chain them together!
