Anyone have recommendations for a place here on long island that will remove old lettering and put new name on a boat? One that can assist in design would be great. Tried to search but the site kept freezing. Thanks in advance.

This really is a do it yourself kinda job, unless you just don't have time to do it. If you decide to do it yourself, just about any local sign company can fix you up, often while you are standing there.

Same

Marie at lisignsandlighting.com loves to do boat names. We are really busy in the early spring, but if you give her a little time she will not disappoint. Tell her you got info from BoaterEd.

I bought mine from them at the boat show two years ago I have silver flake shadowing that didn't hold up well I told them at this years boat show (I happened to have pictures with me) and sent me a whole new name free of charge. I had it a few days later, in-fact replacing it is on my to do list.
