I just returned from the boat show in Oakland.
It was mostly sailboats but a lot of vendors covering everything for boaters. I noticed many people and vendors from all over the contry.
It was very well organized and well attended and I think that this year it was worth the $12.00. Parking is only $5.00 for the entire day.

You forgot the picture of the America's Cup.

So they are advertising a "Sail Only" boat show, but have the Power Boat show going same time same place?
Is it one price to get into both?

I like looking at boats but more interested in vendors. Would like to know more about flexiteek, reupholstering, boat bedding, tech and more.

I was there from 10 - 6 pm. Strictly Sail and Pacific Power (not much on the power) no felxiteek or reupholstering. Little on bedding and lots of tech products and classes. Great deals on LED lighting.

We were checking out getting into sailing and took a 45 minute sail. Our first time on a sailboat. wow, what a difference. Don't think I could bring myself to sell our boat and owning two is not an option. Looking at the sailing club angle as an option.

Parking hit me for $15 for the day - I don't know where the $5 parking was.

Outside of the electronics, it is mostly sailing stuff.

weather was nice and the wind picked up in the afternoon.

There was one vendor selling the flexi-teak. He was over near the old Jack London bar stuck back in a corner. You could visit that booth without buying a ticket for the show.

The $5.00 parking is on the lot next to the entrance but you have to get there early.
Also many interesting seminars on cruising.
Mike, for sailing, check Club Nautique or Sailtime.
