Anyone else going to the boat show this weekend? The admiral and always go, even though we're not really looking for anything in particular. We just love to board all the larger cruisers and dream of our next boat. Ok, so the 'next' boat is probably years away but it's still fun!

I'm heading there today. I like to look at all the new stuff, and maybe I'll be able to get a good deal on LED rope lights and LED cabin lights.

i think it has gone downhill over the past years
i liked it when it was in the cowpalace

I am very disappointed in the boat shows around the bay in general. Yes they really want to sell boats, but if you don't want to buy one it seems they have few accessories or gadgets to view so we don't waste our time or $$$ there anymore.

There's a boat show this weekend? How did this escape my attention?!?

It's in Pleasanton at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, I didn't make it out yesterday, maybe today.

We went yesterday and had a blast. We really enjoy 'shopping' for our next boat! I think we've settled on the Carver 36 Mariner. Now ... if we just could hit the lottery!

We are heading up next weekend. I always look forward to the boat shows. I do also think the show was better at the Cow Palace but this one in Pleasanton is good also.

This year the show is much larger! The have 5 more buildings/tents then last year. Also, this year they have a wonderful Classic Boat Display. Many of the Concoure de Eleganc boat winners will be on display. Also, there is a unfinished wooden boat so you can see how they look before as well as after.

On Wednesday evening the Delta Chamber is having their monthly meeting at the show. It will include delta wines and food. Anyone is welcome. I think it starts at 6PM.

I finally made it out to the boat show today. I love boats so it was time well spent. It's not like I would want to take my boat out in this cold. I was really impressed with the Regal 4460 with IPS drives, the price is way out of my reach, but it's nice to dream right? A Volvo Penta service location was there with engines and drives so I was able to get some pictures of the engine and drive that I have. It's kinda hard to see where everything is in a relatively small engine compartment. CG, Sherrifs, Police, and Cal. Dept. of Boating an Waterways were there helping educate boaters. Oh there were more go fast boats there this year! I have to say it was a nice atmosphere.

It would be interesting to have some feedback from the exibitors on the business side of the show. Did the boats sell as expected?

I went to the show on Sunday. Very enjoyable. Not to crowded. You could go on all the boats without waiting. The 59' Marquis had a wait of 10 minutes but that was it. I liked the Regal 4460 as well but I'm a bit biased towards Regals. Nice boats. The wife said I couldn't up grade to a 3360 because I would need to buy a bigger truck to tow it. Another dream down the tubes. I'll stick with my 8 year old 292.

We watched the wakeboard show on the indoor pools. Those kids are crazy!!!! Fun to watch though.
